Therapeutic Guidelines access via App

Therapeutic Guidelines advises all users to download the new mobile app for Android or iOS devices. The old app will be decommissioned and removed in February 2025.

How to authenticate the new mobile app with your organisation once every 6 months to maintain access to Therapeutic Guidelines:

1. On your mobile device, access the Therapeutic Guidelines website via our home page, under Point of Care and Medication resources box:

  • Open an InPrivate/incognito window in your mobile browser (e.g., Safari or Chrome).
  • Visit the Library Portal of your institution and click on the ‘Therapeutic Guidelines’ resource.
  • Log in using your network credentials.

 2. Obtain the Access Key:

  • Once logged into the Therapeutic Guidelines website (resource) , click on the Menu (≡), where you should see the message with a pink box 'Access by Department of Health Western Australia’ as confirmation.
    • If this confirmation message is not visible, retry accessing the Therapeutic Guidelines resource through following the step 1 again.
  • Navigate to Menu (≡) >  Access by Department of Health Western Australia> Copy Access Key.

A confirmation message will appear: Access Key copied to clipboard.

3. Log in Using the Access Key:

  • Open the Therapeutic Guidelines app installed on your device. If you do not have the latest version, download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Click on the ‘Log in’ button
  • Paste the copied access key under Access Key and submit.
  • You will see a confirmation message: “Access key set”
  • You should now be able to use the Mobile app. You will be required to follow these steps every 6 months to maintain access.

Note: The copy access key option will disappear once it's copied on your device.

 Troubleshooting:

  • If the ‘Copy Access Key’ option does not appear as expected:
    • Clear your browser cache. Refer to guides for clearing the cache on Safari or Chrome.
    • Ensure you are logged onto the TG website using the access provided by your organisation.

 Helpful hints for app authentication:

  1. To access the refreshed library website TG link, it's important to clear your phone cache, or use a new browser, or open an incognito page.
  2. Please follow the instructions for ACCESS KEY authentication as above, or in the TG User Guide.  If you follow the User Guide instructions, and there is no Copy Access Key option in the TG menu, please refresh your phone cache, or use a new browser, or incognito page to access the library website.
  3. On your mobile, to access the TG link in library website, you will be prompted to login with your regular work network login and password.

        4. Once you are set up in the TG app, do not Log Out.
