Department of Health Library: Reference Styles

Welcome

The preferred referencing styles for WA DoH publications are set out in the WA Health Writing Style Guide version 5.0 [Intranet only link]

  • An author-date style, such as Chicago B Style, is recommended for use with non-scientific documents
  • The Vancouver style is recommended for use with documents based on scientific and medical information

Also refer to the WA Health publication, Style Guide for Corporate Visual Identity (2018) [Intranet only link]

The Australian Government Style Manual has been updated in 2020.  Style Manual is for everyone who writes, edits or approves Australian Government content. Use it to create clear and consistent content that meets the needs of users.
