As part of the Australian Health Survey, the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Survey (AATSIHS) which commenced in April 2012 collects information from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population in non-remote areas and remote areas, including discrete communities. It combines the existing ABS National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Survey (NATSIHS) together with two new elements - a National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nutrition and Physical Activity Survey (NATSINPAS) and a National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Measures Survey (NATSIHMS).

The Regional Insights for Indigenous Communities (RIFIC) website brings together a range of regional statistics about the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their communities. The aim of the website is to provide access to data at a local level, to help communities set their priorities and participate in joint planning with government and service providers.

A 'one-stop info-shop' that aims to contribute to 'closing the gap' in health between Indigenous and other Australians by providing the evidence base to inform practice and policy in Indigenous health. The Indigenous Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Clearinghouse was established to enhance and improve access to the Indigenous mental health and suicide prevention evidence base. The Clearinghouse contributes to a series of actions supported by the Australian Government to improve mental health and suicide through the Fifth National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan.
